PE

Physical Education is taught through a range of competitive sports and games and legitimate physical education activities such as gymnastics and dance. Over the course of their school journey, pupils will have the opportunity to develop skills through a range of units, such as Multi-skills, gymnastics, dance and athletics. Children in KS2 all have swimming lessons, taught by qualified coaches. Pupils in Reception have one hour of timetabled PE each week and pupils in KS1 upwards have two hours of timetabled PE each week. We use Elite Kids Coaching to deliver PE sessions to some classes on a Monday and Tuesday (this is rotated each half term) and teachers deliver their own PE sessions throughout the rest of the week using PE Pro. The curriculum is progressive and pupils build on their skills throughout their time at school. In addition to lessons during curriculum time, pupils have the opportunity to join one of our successful sports clubs led by Elite Kids Coaching.
